Olamide Is Back With His First Single Of 2018, 'Science Student'

With seven studio albums in as many years, it's safe to say that Olamide is the hardest working Nigerian artist we have. Constantly dropping singles and featuring on other people's tracks, there hasn't been a moment since 2011 that the airwaves have been free of the rapper.
Well, he doesn't seem to be letting up this year either. It's barely been two
months since he dropped his seventh studio album, Lagos Na Wa, and he has already released his first official single of 2018, "Science Student".
Produced by frequent collaborators, Young Jonn and BBanks, "Science Student" is an up-tempo street anthem that feels tailormade for the 'shaku shaku' dance everyone suddenly became obsessed with towards the end of last year.
As for the song itself, Olamide isn't particularly breaking any new ground but, at this point in his career, no one really needs or expects him to. "Science Student" is exactly what it needs to be: an Olamide song that will get even the most uptight people going.
So, while Olamide didn't land a hit till halfway into 2017 — with the iconic "Wo!" — we don't think he'll have to worry about that this year. He seems to have already knocked it out of the park on his first go, and we can't wait to hear what he drops next.
