After the muted response to Wande Coal's sophomore album, Wanted, the Afrobeats singer decided to try and save face with the release of two singles late last year, "Ballerz" and "Iskaba".Although "Iskaba" is far superior to the Maleek Berry-produced "Ballerz", Wande Coal decided to give "Ballerz" the music video treatment first – and the visuals are great enough to make the song a little more enjoyable. Directed by Ani James, the video has a very cinematic feel to it – with Wande Coal and Maleek Berry playing gangsters that seem to have strolled off the set of a 50s crime flick. There's also a lot of cash being thrown around, because you know,"ballerz".Thankfully, Wande Coal has promised to release a lot more songs and music videos for his fans this year – and if all of them are as crisp as this one, then you can colour us excited.
