Lars Von Triers Nymphomaniac: Volume I is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2014 and it appears creates so much buzz it doesn't even need publicity as the movie was snuck into the Sundance Film Festival this week as a "super secret" screening.
The Shia LaBeouf starring movie, about a young female sex addict and her personal journey, was screened on Tuesday night at Park City, Utah, according to reports with reporters told to make themselves available for an "exclusive and super secret" event. USA Today reports that that the secret screening was touted as a "highly anticipated film".
Nymphomaniac has been hitting the headlines even before filming began after LaBeouf hinted that the graphic sex scenes could well be real.
[The movie] is what you think it is," LaBeouf said hinting at claims of sex on screen. "It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making. For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening."
"Whatever is asked. I think we all are," he said. "I've seen 'Intimacy.' [Von Trier is] talking about something different. ... It's going to be a wild movie."
It was confirmed in December that the movie would be split into two parts, with the first released on March 6 and the second April 3 in the US.
