MUSIC: Davido drops Ghanaian artiste Deekay from HKN Music

Davido might have dropped his Ghanaian artiste Deekay from his label.
The HKN Music boss in a series of tweets, listed the names of musicians signed to his label and missed out the Ghanaian rapper, Deekay.
Many fans pointed the way of Deekay, the Ghanaian rapper signed to HKN. Deekay penned a contract in 2014, and has gone on tour with Davido. He also has released a number of records under the HKN imprint such as ‘Repete’ and its remix.
When contacted, Davido’s manager Kamal Ajiboye denied the exit of Deekay.
“Deekay is HKN artiste, he hasn’t been
dropped,” he told our NAIJ. He also denied any plan to drop the Ghana-born musician from the label.
“Nothing is going on as of now yet,” he added. Kamal also said popular hypeman and budding musician, Special Ed, is not signed to the record label but David’s childhood friend.
Davido later went on to tweet that music producer, Shizzi made the label what it is today adding that Shizzi is 100% HKN.
Shizzi also affirmed this with a reply to the tweet thereby squashing rumours that he’s not on good terms with Davido.
