MUSIC: Yemi Alade And Seyi Shay In Supremacy Battle

Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has expressed hope that she will emerge winner at the MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA), on Saturday, July 18 this year. Nominated in the Best Female category, Yemi is up against Seyi Shay, Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania), Bucie and Busiswa from South Africa. The petite artist disclosed about her desire to walk away with the award saying, “I am very thankful to be nominated. Being
a nominated means you are appreciated and this makes me a star. I am happy and I hope to win”. An award-winning Afro pop and R & B songwriter and entertainer, Yemi became a household name after winning the maiden edition of Peak Talent Show in 2009. Yemi has shared the stage with many local and international acts including Mary J. Blige, MI, Waje, Wizkid and Shina Peters.
