Mya on Rumored Affair with Jay Z: 'Never did, never was, never will'

Singer-actress Mya Marie Harrison, famously known as Mya, has strongly denied her involvement in the rumor that Jay Z is cheating on his wife Beyoncé Knowles and that the rapper has been secretly dating and financially supporting her for years. On July 3, Thursday, a fan took to Instagram to ask Mya about her rumored affair with the 44-year-old "99 Problems" rapper asking, "Heard you and Jay Z had an 11-year affair. Are you his side chick or nah?" 
"Never did, never was, never will. Illegitimate, thirsty sources with no facts and that's the 'media' for you - especially today. I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on God only and respect myself & marriage too much for nonsense," the 34-year-old "Case of the Ex" singer replied.


"False rumors are crafted for ratings & numbers. And miserable, unhappy people need someone to judge to deter the attention away from their own misery and feel better about their miserable lives. If they did it to Jesus, they'll do it to anyone. God bless," Mya also wrote.
Few days prior to this, Knowles made headlines when she changed the lyrics of her song "Resentment" during a performance in her "On the Run" show in Cincinnati, Ohio, which apparently refers to her cheating husband's mistress, New York Daily News reported.
This was followed by an online blind item published by Crazy Days and Nights, which was later on deleted, claiming that Knowles' husband is having an affair with a short-named R&B singer who has not made hits recently, Daily Mail has learned.
Later on, Mya was named as the R&B singer linked to Jay Z. Although Mya has already denied having a relationship with him, Jay Z has yet to comment on the rumor, Newsday reported.
On the small screen, Mya joined the ninth season of "Dancing With The Stars" with Dmitry Chaplin, and the pair finished second in 2009 and appeared in "WWE Raw" in 2011.
On the big screen, she starred as Valerie in "The Heart Specialist" and as herself in the "Sunset Trip" documentary. She is credited as Mya Harrison in the 2014 film "Bermuda Tentacles."
Jay Z and Beyonce have been married for six years and have a daughter named Blue Ivy.
