Ryan Gosling's very devoted fans have
been sent into a spin by rumours Eva Mendes is
heavily pregnant with his child.
America's OK! magazine was the first to report the 40-year-old brunette star is seven months along.
While
People, Us Weekly and Access Hollywood are now also reporting that
sources have confirmed the pregnancy, a spokesperson for the couple is
yet to make any official comment.
'She's been ready for motherhood for a while now,' OK! quotes an insider as saying.
The
Notebook heartthrob, 33, started dating in 2011 and their first public
date as a pair was a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim California.
Back in February, Eva
denied that she was pregnant following an alleged incident
at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Arriving
at the Transportation Security Administration point for a routine
pre-flight security check, she is understood to have
told officers she would not be able to pass through the body scanner
'because she's pregnant', which she later vehemently denied.
A representative for the actress told
MailOnline at the time: 'She has never gone through the scanners at the
airport, she has always elected to be hand checked instead.'
She later laughed off the baby talk in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
'It's
so ridiculous,' she said at the time. 'It all started because I didn't
want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray
scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right?
And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt
out.'
Hiding a bump? A magazine claims the actress, last pictured here in March, is now seven months pregnant
OK! reported on Wednesday that while Ryan is said to be fully committed to
the relationship, he doesn't share his girlfriend's desire to settle down and
get married.
A source said: 'Ryan grew up without a dad, so he
always said when he had kids, he'd be there no matter what. This is it for him.'
Another source added: 'Ryan doesn't think they need to
marry just because they are having a baby but Eva believes it's important to
have their lives fully intertwined.'
Eva recently said working with Ryan on his directorial
debut, How to Catch a Monster, was the 'most beautiful experience'
she's ever had.
She said: 'It's actually the most beautiful experience
I've ever had working on a film.
'He really created the most beautiful, collaborative,
creative atmosphere on set. I know I'm biased but I don't think it's just
coming from me, he's the best.'
